He did it first!” Disney has revealed an official trailer for a documentary film titled The Beach Boys, all about the band known as The Beach Boys. A celebration of the legendary band that revolutionized pop music and created the harmonious sound that personified the California Dream. This is set to launch streaming on Disney+ at the end of May in just a few months, another major music offering from D+ after the Peter Jackson doc about The Beatles. Get ready for an endless summer of fun, fun, fun with The Beach Boys, the all-new documentary co-directed by acclaimed producers / filmmakers Frank Marshall & Thom Zimny. Featuring interviews with all of the original band members, tracing their origins and success and beyond. Viewers will also hear from the group’s Carl & Dennis Wilson in their own words, plus view a new interview with Blondie Chaplin and hear audio from Ricky Fataar. The Beach Boys movie is a celebration of the legendary band that revolutionized pop music, and the iconic, harmonious sound they created that personified the California dream, captivating fans for generations and generations to come. The documentary traces the band from humble family beginnings and features never-before-seen footage and all-new interviews with The Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, David Marks, Bruce Johnston, plus other luminaries in the music business, including Lindsey Buckingham, Janelle Monáe, Ryan Tedder, and Don Was.
