“You could’ve made nice with me. But you didn’t…” Neon has revealed a final “The End” official trailer for Longlegs, arriving in theaters nationwide starting in a few weeks. We’ve featured the other cryptic teasers before as well as the main official trailer for this film a few months ago. FBI Agent Lee Harker is assigned to an unsolved serial killer case that takes unexpected turns, revealing eerie evidence of the occult. Harker soon discovers a personal connection to the killer and must stop him before he strikes again. Longlegs is the creation of director Oz Perkins (The Blackcoat’s Daughter, I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, Gretel & Hansel). The horror film stars Maika Monroe as Lee Harker, Nicolas Cage, Alicia Witt, Blair Underwood, and Dakota Daulby. This looks SO extremely unsettling and scary – and the buzz from early reviews is that it really is one of the best horror films of 2024. Maybe even of this decade. This trailer finally reveals a bit of Nicolas Cage’s serial killer voice, and it’s easily the creepiest part of this footage. Take a peek.
Here’s the final “The End” trailer (+ another poster) for Oz Perkins’ film Longlegs, from Neon’s YouTube:
You can watch the cryptic teasers for Oz Perkins’ Longlegs right here + here, and main official trailer here.
Lee Harker (Maika Monroe), a talented new FBI agent, has been assigned to an unsolved case of a serial killer. As the investigation becomes more complicated and occult evidence is uncovered, Harker realizes a personal link to the ruthless killer and must act quickly to prevent another family murder. Longlegs is both written and directed by American genre filmmaker / writer / actor Oz Perkins (aka Osgood Perkins), director of the horror movie The Blackcoat’s Daughter, I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, and Gretel & Hansel previously, plus one episode for the new “The Twilight Zone” series. Produced by Nicolas Cage, Dave Caplan, Chris Ferguson, Dan Kagan, and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones. This hasn’t premiered at any festivals or elsewhere, as far as we know – stay tuned for updates. Neon will open Perkins’ Longlegs film in theaters starting July 12th, 2024 in the middle of the summer. Who wants to see this? Opening weekend?
