“I need my daughter back…” Paramount has revealed the trailer for a supernatural horror thriller movie titled Here After, arriving in theaters starting in September this fall. The film is the first feature directed by a long-time producer named Robert Salerno, who is moving to a role behind the lens this time in addition to producing. The plot for Here After is one that has been seen many times before: When her teen daughter displays increasingly disturbing behavior after a near death experience, a mom becomes convinced the girl brought something evil back from the other side. It seems a dark force has followed her back from the brink of death. This stars Connie Britton as Claire, Freya Hannan-Mills, Giovanni Cirfiera, Tommaso Basili, and Syama Rayner. Alas this is so uninteresting & derivative, will be an easy skip for most people.
Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Robert Salerno’s Here After, direct from Paramonut’s YouTube:
Connie Britton stars in this gripping supernatural thriller. Claire Hiller (Britton) is overjoyed when her daughter Robin (co-starring Freya Hannan-Mills) is miraculously revived after a fatal accident. But her relief turns to dread as Claire notices changes in her daughter, suspecting something dark has followed her back from the brink of death. Here After is directed by the producer / filmmaker Robert Salerno, making his feature directorial debut after producing many movies before, including Arbitrage, Nocturnal Animals, Vox Lux, I’m Thinking of Ending Things, and Smile 1 & 2. The screenplay is written by Sarah Conradt. Produced by Sukee Chew, Naomi Despres, Riccardo Di Pasquale, Robert Salerno, and Christopher Tricarico. This hasn’t premiered at any film festivals or elsewhere, as far as we know. Paramount will debut Salerno’s Here After in select US theaters + on VOD starting on September 13th, 2024 this fall. Anyone?
