“You can’t save this family. No matter how good you are…” Lionsgate has revealed an official trailer for an action thriller being dumped out titled Dominique, made by a filmmaker named Michael S. Ojeda. You’ve likely never seen or heard of any of his other films. This is made in collaboration with Ukrainian-American actress / model Oksana Orlan, who also writes and produces with the director. Orlan stars as Dominique – a well-trained assassin who flees from her troubled past attempting to begin a new life in South America. However, she soon finds herself in a town plagued with violence and corruption. Facing brutal attacks from the police and mafia, Dominique must decide whether to protect herself or an innocent family that has taken her in. Such an original plot. The cast includes Jose Conejo Martin, Sebastian Carvajal, Maria Del Rosario, Alanna De La Rossa, Gustavo Angarita, and Maurice Compte. This looks so bad. The main character is basically a Sarah Connor from T2 ripoff in what looks like a made-for-TV special. Skip this one.
Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Michael S. Ojeda’s film Dominique, direct from YouTube:
Dominique is a brilliant assassin left for dead in a small South American village. After the only man she cares about is savagely killed, Dominique sacrifices herself to protect his innocent family and trains them to wage a war against the bloodthirsty authorities and brutal drug cartels responsible for his death. Oksana Orlan and Maurice Compte star in this electrifying crime thriller about the power of courage and the price of vengeance. Dominique is directed by writer / filmmaker Michael S. Ojeda, of the films Lana’s Rain, Fraud, Avenged, The Russian Bride, and Tartarus, and other projects previously. The screenplay is written by Michael S. Ojeda and Oksana Orlan. It’s produced by Jason Gurvitz, Alvaro Gutierrez, Michael S. Ojeda, and Oksana Orlan. This hasn’t premiered at any festivals or elsewhere, as far as we know. Lionsgate will debut Dominique in select theaters + on VOD starting October 11th, 2024 this fall. Anyone into this?
